MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) — The search continues in the Cascade Range in southern Oregon for a couple who told their kids they were off to cut down a special Christmas tree.
A search-and-rescue spokeswoman, Dean Carvalho, said Thursday morning there had been nothing found overnight.
Officials said Keith and Jennifer Lee of Medford set out Tuesday morning but told no one where they were going. A relative said Keith Lee is diabetic.
The couple did tell their four kids, ages 8 to 18, that they hoped to bring back a silvertip fir, a prized tree found only at high elevations.
Searchers have been looking from the air and on mountain roads in the Siskiyou Mountains south of Medford where the couple got stuck last year while cutting a tree.
