COLBERT, Wash. -- Authorities are investigating a reported luring incident in the area of Bridle Trail and Lidgerwood Tuesday morning.

A 6th grade student told Spokane County Sheriff’s deputies she was waiting by herself at a bus stop when a grey Suburban pulled up to her.

The victim said a man in the passenger seat rolled down his window and asked if she needed a ride into town.

She said as she backed away from the vehicle, the passenger opened his door but never exited. The vehicle sped away shortly after stopping.

The passenger is described as a white man in his 20’s with  blonde hair, a blonde beard and mustache.

The vehicle is described as a grey Suburban with a black stripe on the side. The victim said there was a decal on the back window she described as being grey with black flames.

Deputies were not able to locate the vehicle in the area.

The Mead School District notified parents about the district.
