SPOKANE -- KREM 2 News would like to thank everyone who donated to the Inland Northwest Honor Flight program.
Viewers and local businesses made dreams for 20 Northwest World War II veterans come true.
Enough money has been donated to send all these men and women on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Washington, D.C. to see the World War II memorial built in their honor.
Thanks to your generousity, in just one week, you helped raise thousands of dollars for the November trip.
KREM 2's Randy Shaw will be accompanying these veterans on their Honor Flights and seeing the memorial with them for the first time.
KREM 2 News will be taping the entire trip so you can see what your donations mean to these veterans, and bringing you Randy's reports on KREM 2 News at 5, 6, 10 and 11 next month.
Because of such outstanding community support, there is even enough money to send 20 more veterans on another trip to the memorial next spring.
There is still a waiting list of veterans who hope to go on these Honor Flights, and it is growing by the day. Donations to the Inland Northwest Honor Flight program can be made at any U.S. Bank branch. Or, visit for more information.
