SPOKANE -- A winter weather advisory is in effect until early Thursday morning with 1 to 3 inches of snow possible and periods of freezing rain.
The first moisture in several days made for slippery driving conditions during Wednesday’s evening commute.
Emergency crews responded to a number of slide offs and at least one serious crash on Highway 2 in Airway Heights. Two people were taken to the hospital with are described as "very serious injuries" after a tow truck and a car crashed just outside the Longhorn BBQ around 4:30 p.m. Just minutes later, there was a slide off just a few blocks away. The driver of that car was not hurt.
Thursday will be mostly dry but another slug of moisture on Friday will bring a chance of more rain and snow.
