EPHRATA, Wash. -- Authorities said a man was injured and later died during an incident with police in Ephrata Friday.
Officials said Ephrata Police and the Grant Co. Sheriff were called to 644 2nd Avenue Northwest for a domestic violence incident.
Officers confronted a man in his early 20’s who barricaded himself inside the home with a knife. When they arrived, the man's girlfriend and child were outside the home.
Authorities said when they entered the home they found the man stabbed in the chest.
Officials told KREM 2 News that he was transported to Columbia Basin Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
