AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. -- Two lanes were closed on Highway 2 on Monday morning near Russell Road due to a three car crash.
Officials said a car was trying to make a u-turn on Highway 2 and was hit by oncoming traffic. They said one car involved in the crash flipped over. The other car involved could not stop in time.
The passenger in the car trying to make the u-turn was seriously injured and was transported to the hospital by Medstar. Authorities said two others were injured. They said their injuries were non life threatening.
One lane in each direction on Highway 2 was closed while crews worked to clear the scene.
