SPOKANE, Wash. -- A second grader at Wilson Elementary took to YouTube to read a heartfelt letter to Russell Wilson in early 2014 and then received her wish on Thursday.

Noelle Fries read a letter aloud to Russell Wilson on the steps of her elementary school. She had no way of knowing if the star would hear it.

Not only did Wilson hear her message, he watched her YouTube video Thursday right along with her entire school.

Fries got to chat with Wilson. It was a moment she had been waiting for since the Super Bowl.

The second grader said she started looking up to the quarterback when she learned about character at school. She knew she had to try to meet him after the Seahawk’s big win.

The 8-year-old said she did not sleep much Wednesday night.

“I was sort of surprised that he would actually take his time to actually talk with us,” said Fries.
The second grader was all smiles after their conversation.

She also wanted to thank Blitz for coming from Seattle.
