HAYDEN, Idaho -- Authorities said a 55-year-old man was killed Thursday morning after crashing through a fence and hitting a tree.
The Kootenai County Sheriff was called to the scene of the crash on North Government way near Miles Avenue in Hayden. Deputies found a white 2008 Chevrolet Van, driven by Michael Poorboy. He left the roadway, drove several yards before crashing through a wooden fence and into a tree.
Officials said Poorboy was unconscious when deputies arrived and lifesaving measures were used.
