2 arrested after standoff on Washington State University campus

PULLMAN, Wash. – The Whitman County SWAT Team helped end a standoff on the campus of Washington State University Tuesday morning.

According to Pullman radio station KQQQ, police said they tried to pull over a driver. The driver pulled into the Chief Joseph Apartments on campus where he and another man ran into one of the units.

Officials said the SWAT team eventually entered the apartment around 5:30 a.m. Monday.

A 17-year-old and 20-year-old were arrested. Police said they are not students at the school.
