SPOKANE, Wash. -- Authorities said the extradition process of a transgender inmate is set to begin in early March.

Douglas (Donna) Perry, 61, is in federal prison for a firearms offense and her sentence is almost up.

Authorities charged Perry with three counts of 1st Degree Murder for the 1990 murders of Yolanda Sapp, 26, Nikkie Lowe, 34, and Katherine Brisbois, 34.

In 2012, Perry was arrested in Spokane on an unrelated firearms charge. During Perry’s arrest his DNA was collected and put into a database. Perry’s DNA matched DNA evidence submitted from Brisbois’ homicide.
