Cameras show suspected SUV thief wandering in Lake City H.S.

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho -- Coeur d’Alene Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a car theft suspect.

The suspect is described as a white male, 16-20 years old, wearing a plaid flannel long sleeve shirt with dark grey, dark blue and dark green colors and white lines. He was also wearing blue jeans, a green ball cap with a light colored bill with cream colored writing on it and wearing dark colored shoes with light soles.

The man is about 5’10 with a thin build, has collar length dirty blonde hair and is clean shaven. He was also carrying a guitar case.

 

Authorities said a 2013 grey Toyota Rav4 was stolen from Lake City High School October 24. The victim reported the car missing from the teacher parking lot at 2:45 p.m.

Resource officers watched surveillance video and saw a man matching the description enter the school at 10:50 a.m. The suspect walked upstairs to the classroom area. He checked several locked doors and then went into an unoccupied classroom. Video caught the suspect walking in a few other areas of the building before he left the school.
