SPOKANE, Wash. -- The final Inland Northwest Honor Flight will be dedicated to murder victim, Delbert “Shorty” Belton.
Belton, 88, was allegedly beaten to death by two teens on August 21. He was a World War II veteran.
The flight is scheduled for Tuesday, October 29 at 8 a.m. The veterans will gather in the Alaska Airlines baggage claim area at the Spokane Airport at 5:45 a.m. Eighty-five World War II veterans will be travelling to Washington D.C. to see the memorial made in their honor.
The group will return Wednesday, October 30 at 6:30 p.m.
The public is welcome to send the veterans off to Washington D.C. and welcome them home.
