MULLAN, Idaho -- Lookout Pass got about two inches of snow Wednesday and it has ski managers looking forward to the season.
Chris Barrett of Lookout Pass was excited when he showed up to work Wednesday morning and saw the snow.
“I turn around and sure enough we’ve got snow all the way to the base,” said Barrett.
This much snow is not completely unheard of but it is still out of the norm for Lookout.
The ski area could certainly use the extra snow. They have added cross country skiing and snowshoeing to the mountain this year.
Barrett said they could go beyond the average of 400 inches a year.
Lookout Pass hopes to be open by Thanksgiving depending on Mother Nature.
