MOSES LAKE, Wash. -- Sunday night’s wind storm hit the Grant County area hard. Now, a Moses Lake family after the storm hit their home head on.

The Embry’s home sits on a cliff above the water. The home was completely unprotected from the storm that packed winds of more than 60 miles per hour.
Josh Embry said it felt like it came out of nowhere.
“The next thing you know you hear this tatter and then a branch went through our window. A branch landed on top of the house. My mom screamed, the kids were frightened,” said Josh.

The family’s entire lawn was destroyed. The winds were so strong debris was blown several feet into their neighbor’s yard. They said the need a new roof and new carpet they just put it will also need to be replaced.
They were without power until Monday morning. The family estimated the damage will cost tens of thousands of dollars to repair.
