The victims have been identified by the Grant County Sheriff's Office as a Dioselina Buenrostro, 33, Gabriel Ochoa, 35, Yesenia "Jessie" Ochoa, 4, and Sandra Ochoa, 9. They were from Stanwood, Washington.

The two adults, a man and woman,  were pronounced dead at the scene. The 2 children were pronounced dead at an area hospital.

The driver of the other vehicle had minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital.

The Grant County Sheriff Tom Jones said, "In my 21 years in law enforcement, this is the most tragic single incident I have ever been to. My heart is filled with sorrow, and I pray for peace and comfort for the surviving family members."
