LEWISTON, Idaho - Officers arrested two people after a bizarre crime spree in the LC Valley.
Cheryl Bynum and John Owens were booked into the Asotin County Jail on charges of Kidnapping, Robbery, and Burglary.
Officers said Bynum and Owens kidnapped a man at gunpoint from his home in Lewiston Orchards on October 29th. Investigators said the victim was taken to several different ATM locations and stores in Lewiston and Clarkston, and forced to withdraw money and buy a number of expensive items.
Police said the victim was held against his will for almost an entire day. When the suspects left him alone, he escaped.
On Tuesday, authorities searched two homes in the area and recovered several stolen items.
Police said the victim was battered during the kidnapping, but did they did not release the victim’s condition.
