MOSES LAKE, Wash-- Endangered missing person, Monica Helberg, 16, turned herself in to a Moses Lake attorney Wednesday according to sheriff’s deputies.

Grant County Sheriff’s Office issued an Amber Alert for the teenager who went missing about two weeks prior.

Police said Helberg was safe and being reunited with her family Wednesday evening.

Helberg said she was not abducted. She said she left willingly with the named suspect, Logan Moncada.

Police said they were unsure of Logan’s whereabouts, but did not plan searching for him unless new evidence suggested he had committed a crime.

“We’re all very happy that Monica did the right thing and came home,” said Sheriff Tom Jones. “The past several days have been very busy, and I thank everyone who helped us search for Monica.”
