SEATTLE – Alaska Airlines flights are delayed after the airline's central computer went down early Saturday morning.

The system went down at about 3 a.m. and there are multiple delays, said Alaska spokesman Paul McElroy. All East Coast and Mexico departures are delayed by 2 hours.

Delays are being reported at Spokane International Airport, and passengers at Sea-Tac are stuck at the gates.

The airline is expecting other delays throughout the network as they work to solve the issue, McElroy said.

The airline is asking passengers to check their flight status before going to the airport by visiting the website https://www.alaskaair.com/airport/flightstatus/flightstatus.aspx calling 1-800-ALASKAAIR (1-800-252-7522).
