SPOKANE, Wash -- Spokane Police are patrolling the Knitting Factory harder than ever before because of Tuesday’s Tech N9ne concert and businesses are hoping it will help.

The staff at Hotel Ruby say they dread the night Tech N9ne comes to town.  General Manager, Annie Gold, said concert goers used to take up many of their rooms and several of them would be nearly destroyed the next day.

“We actually look at the calender and look ahead in the year to see when Tech N9ne is coming so we can raise our rates,” said Gold.

The hotel said when the shows were over fans have fought in their parking lot and thrown beer bottles at each other and their property.

Police put an additional half dozen officers in the area to make sure nothing like this happens again and is working with the concert hall closer than ever.

The Knitting Factory was shut down back in February and later reopened following a string of shootings.
