SPOKANE -- The Spokane Regional Health District announced Thursday that the upcoming H1N1 (swine) influenza vaccination clinics are being changed from walk-in clinics to appointment only. The change will help manage patient care while reducing long lines. The only upcoming clinic that is still a "walk-in" clinic is at the Airway Heights Community Center on November 18.
To qualify for the nasal spray, you need to be healthy and between the ages of 2 and 24 and not pregnant. Healthy adults between the ages of 25 and 49 who are healthcare workers or live with or care for an infant less than six months also qualify.
Pregnant women, caregivers for children younger than six years old, health care and emergency medical personnel, and all people six months to 64 years of age who have underlying health conditions can get the H1N1 flu shot vaccine.
