'Fit4Mom' strides to Spokane with stroller in tow

SPOKANE, Wash. - It can be hard for many to balance a full-time job, being a parent, and staying healthy and fit.

Some local moms are working fitness into their daily routines as a mother.

Fit4Mom is a series of classes and events offered in Spokane.

It all started with a local woman who was actually a biology teacher and women's wrestling coach. After she had her son, she stayed home to be a full-time mom.

Instead of giving up her career though, she decided to just switch it. That was when Fit4Mom was brought to Spokane.

Classes include "Stroller Strides" which is a fitness program that Moms can do with their babies in the stroller.

There is even a Fit4Baby class that helps the body stay strong during all the physical changes moms go through pregnancy.

You can get a free week's worth of demo classes this week at Riverfront Park. If you buy a stroller at REI, you get free classes for a week.
