OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) -- Gov. Jay Inslee will join officials from the state's new health exchange next week at a mobile enrollment kickoff event in Spokane.
A specially-outfitted trailer with laptops connected to the Washington Healthplanfinder website will stop at least eight cities through November, starting in Spokane on Wednesday. In person assisters will be available to help people seeking information about getting insured under the new plans.
More than 9,400 people in Washington state have signed up for insurance for either themselves or their families in the first week of the state's new health exchange open enrollment period, of which 916 signed up for qualified plans in the exchange, with the remainder receiving coverage through Medicaid.
