SPOKANE, Wash. -- The American Medical Response of Spokane and Grant County has wrapped two of its ambulances in pink stripes to show its support for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The AMR caregivers will also wear pink shirts for all of October to draw attention to the high rates of breast cancer in the Northwest. The shirt features the pink breast cancer ribbon and says, “AMR, Raising Awareness in Eastern Washington.

The employees purchased the shirts themselves and half of the proceeds will be donated to breast cancer awareness efforts. AMR says $750 has been raised so far.
