SPOKANE, Wash. -- With the cost of health care on the rise, one company is saving its patients time and money.
Seattle-based CareSimple found a way to provide one-on-one doctor visits without the hassle of the waiting room.
Patients don’t even have to leave home, which is the last thing most sick people want to do.
A laptop, Web cam and an internet connection are required for the new service. The Web site puts anyone in need in contact with a doctor. They’re available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
“It really is improving access for patients in Washington State and nationally. We have a doctor shortage in this country, and it’s a way for patients to speak with a provider on their terms, in a convenient way, in an affordable way, and ultimately, a safe way,” CareSimple doctor Ben Green said.
Visits cost $85 and last about 20 minutes.
