The first doses of the swine flu nasal mist vaccine were administered at the Spokane Regional Health District Monday.
Officials say there were a line of people at the Health District office when it opened Monday morning.
Vaccines are given by appointment only. Monday's appointments were mostly for children. However, anyone who is healthy and between the ages of 2 and 49 may make an appointment for a vaccination.
Pregnant women are not administered the nasal spray because it contains a live strain of the virus.

FREE CLINIC IN SPOKANE ON SATURDAY
The SRHD's first free clinic for nasal mist vaccines will be held on Saturday. The clinic was going to be held at the Downtown YMCA, however it was moved to the Spokane Veterans' Arena due to a large expected turnout.
Health officials say about 4,000 nasal mists and 800 shots will be available at Saturday's clinic from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
PANHANDLE HEALTH OFFICIALS REACH OUT TO ELEMENTARY STUDENTS
Officials with the Panhandle Health District were at five North Idaho schools Monday, distributing the nasal spray vaccine to children.
Health officials visited Atlas Elementary in Kootenai County, Idaho Hills Elementary in Bonner County, Evergreen Elementary in Boundary County, Upriver Elementary in Benewah County, and Canyon Elementary in Shoshone County. At each school, between 30 and 50% of students were vaccinated.
