Buying or selling breast milk is a common practice among nursing mothers, but a new method some moms are trying can come with significant health risks.

The website www.onlythebreast.com is for moms who can't produce enough of their own breast milk and need to buy from others.  But it turns out, its not just women who are shopping around.

Sites like these are becoming the go to place for people looking for breast milk.  You can buy it, sell it or even donate it.

KREM2 found several local women selling their breast milk.  Carey Louden posted an add on the website after having her daughter Viola.  With an abundance of milk, she took to the internet in hopes of providing to other families in need.

Before Louden sold any milk, she had a change of heart.  On the site she saw a section of posts from men looking to buy breast milk for themselves.  One man even offered $250 for a supply.

We asked Louden if she would buy milk from the website.  She says she wouldn’t because there are no safety screenings for sellers.

In the end, Louden decided to donate her milk to several local families.
