SPOKANE, Wash. -- Smoke continues to pool in the Inland Northwest as a result of growing wildfires across neighboring states.
Air quality is currently considered unhealthy for sensitive groups in the Spokane area, and hazardous in Wenatchee. Conditions are less than ideal in Idaho, as well. Coeur d’Alene’s air quality is good, but other areas like Moscow are creeping into the unhealthy range.
KREM 2 viewers say they’ve been plagued by smoke throughout wildfire season. Some from Moses Lake, Othello and Quincy even reported seeing “raining ash” this week.

Smoke can cause burning eyes, a runny nose and affect bronchitis and other lung conditions. Residents are advised to take precautions and stay up-to-date with advisories. Especially sensitive groups should stay indoors.
