WASHINGTON - Adult humans may soon be able to grow new teeth to replace missing ones, according to a recent article in the Washington Post.
The newspaper cites information from the National Institutes of Health, saying wisdom teeth are a prolific source of stem cells needed for tooth regeneration.
The report says this could be possible in the near future - perhaps five to 10 years from now.
That means dentures could become a thing of the past.
