OLYMPIA, Wash. – Washington Healthplanfinder, the new online marketplace that connects Washingtonians to new health insurance plans and financial help, has seen more than 180,000 total site visits since the marketplace opened on Oct. 1. Residents have until Dec. 23, 2013 to sign up for coverage that begins on Jan. 1, 2014 through Washington Health Plan Finder. The open enrollment period extends through March 31, 2014.
Following system improvements that were made shortly after launch, the new marketplace has seen a surge in online visitors as well as thousands of calls to the toll-free Customer Support Center at 1-855-WAFINDER. Call center wait times have increased as individuals who were unable to complete applications on Oct. 1 and Oct. 2 begin to complete the process over the phone.
Key numbers since the Oct. 1 launch include:
· Unique Site Visitors: 43,629
· Total Site Visits: 184,810
· Total Page Views: 850,284
· Unique Page Views: 612,633
· Accounts Created: 28,374
· Call Center Volume: 20,363
· Call Center Wait Time Average: 14 minutes
A total number of applications completed will be available on Monday, Oct. 7. This figure will be available every Monday moving forward.
