SPOKANE, Wash.--A local mother and daughter lost all of their belongings in a fire in early March. On Wednesday, a KREM 2 News viewer decided to help them out.

Jodi Conklin was not expecting the amount of help she has received from friends, co-workers and even someone she had never met before.

Leah Jackson pulled up to a stranger’s home on Wednesday afternoon ready to help. Her car was filled with items to place in Conklin’s new home.

One by one the women took the boxes out of the car. The donations came from Jackson’s home. She also collected items from friends and asked for help on Facbeook.

“You don't realize what you have until you have nothing,” said Conklin.

Jackson said she saw what happened to Conklin’s home on KREM 2 News in March.

"Instead of just donating to any of the local places, I figured give it to a family that needs it, that has nothing,” said Jackson.

"I'm absolutely floored, I'm just... wow. What do you say? Thank you is not enough,” said Conklin.
