SPOKANE -- Jim and Brooke Davis remember how different life was just a few years ago.
It was not easy to get pregnant. First, Brooke suffered two miscarriages; 20 weeks in to her third pregnancy, doctors told the couple the baby may not survive. ‘
Little Jameson was born in April, healthy, but with no forearms or hands.
The new parents are facing new obstacles and mounting medical bills to provide for their son.
Jameson got his first pair or prosthetics, which cost the family about $25,000; he’ll need 12 more until he is fully grown.
Michele Kelly, a perfect stranger, heard about the Davis’ needs and reached out to help. She gathered dozens of donations from around the community.
There will be a semi-formal party and raffle on Saturday night to raise money for the family. The fundraiser runs from 7 PM - 10PM at the Spokane Events and Catering Center.
Invitations may be purchased in advance at $5.00 each or $10.00 at the door the night of the event.
