SPOKANE VALLEY -- Detectives identified a suspect in a recent shooting in the parking lot of the Hobby Lobby in Spokane Valley.

26-year-old Terrance R. Jones is wanted on charges of 1st Degree Assault and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.

Jones is described as a black man, 5’07”, 145 lbs with brown hair and brown eyes.

One man was shot in the Hobby Lobby parking lot near Indiana and Evergreen just before 11:30 p.m. on February 21.

The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office said it started as an altercation on Sullivan and Broadway between people in two cars.

One car drove away from that scene but became disabled a short time later in the Hobby Lobby parking lot.  That is when the suspect vehicle drove by and shot at the victim’s car, according to authorities.

The male victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect vehicle is described as a black car.

Authorities said the people involved may have gang ties or gang affiliation, but stopped short of calling it gang related.

Detectives urge anyone with information about Jones’ whereabouts to call 911 or Crime Check at (509) 456-2233.  Police discourage anyone from contacting Jones because he may still be armed.
