CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The mother of an Iowa newborn just couldn’t make it in time from her car to the delivery room.
So she had her baby in the hospital parking lot.
Security cameras caught the frantic father pulling up and dashing inside to get help.
A nurse decided there wasn't enough time to go inside, so she delivered the healthy baby girl in the front seat of the family mini van.
This was the first family to ever deliver in that hospital parking lot.
The couple says they accept it, but don't exactly recommend it to anyone else.
