MOSES LAKE, Wash. -- The Grant County Corner has identified the 60-year-old man who died Saturday after being shot at his Moses Lake home.

The Coroner has identified the man as Steven Lynn Hughes. An autopsy that was conducted Monday, concluded that Hughes died from a shotgun wound to the abdomen.

Grant County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a home in the 7700 block of Clink Road in Cascade Valley around 9:30 Saturday night. When they arrived, they found a man had been shot.

The victim was taken to Samaritan Hospital where he died about an hour later.

The Coroner has identified the man as Steven Lynn Hughes. An autopsy conducted Monday concluded that Hughes died from a shotgun wound to the abdomen.

Detectives spent the night searching the home and interviewing witnesses. Officials did not release any suspect information.

Grant County Sheriff Tom Jones said while it is early in the investigation, his office does not believe this was a random shooting.
