SPOKANE--Gun rights advocates are coming together Saturday to protest the president's new gun control push.

Organizers are calling Saturday “National Gun Appreciation Day” and they’re asking gun owners to attend a gun show, go to a shooting range or buy ammunition.

Local gun shops say they've never seen anything like this.

Sharp Shooter will host activities for the first ever National Gun Appreciation Day, including covering the history of firearms in American society.  Attendees can also learn more about Concealed Pistol Licenses and pending legislation.

If attendees come out to buy a new gun they might run into some trouble, because the store is currently running low on firearms.  They will have free gun rentals for anyone wanting to try one out.

People interested in attending can stop by at 2 or 4 p.m. Saturday.
