Pullman library runs out of solar eclipse glasses in 14 minutes

UPDATE: The Neill Public Library in Pullman ran out of solar eclipse glasses in 15 minutes on Friday afternoon.

The library saw long lines form quickly and ran out within the first 14 minutes. If you missed the giveaway, you can make your own DIY pinhole viewer with instructions here.

PULLMAN, Wash. – The Neill Public Library in Pullman will give away hundreds of solar eclipse glasses at 1 p.m. on Friday.

Library officials announced the glasses Friday at about 12 p.m. in a release.

Glasses will be distributed on a first come, first served basis while supplies last, according to a release.

The library will host a watch party in their Hetch meeting room on Monday, starting at 9 a.m. for anyone who wants to watch the eclipse inside.
