Gonzaga Prep football team takes break from practice to watch eclipse

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Gonzaga Preparatory Football Team took a break from practice on Monday to watch the solar eclipse.

Members of the football team put on their glasses and watched the eclipse right from the football field.

Gonzaga Preparatory School took to Facebook to share the photos.  The team is in two-a-day practices as they prepare for the start of their football season.  The Facebook Post said "Gprep Football taking a well deserved break for eclipse viewing."

The varsity football team has its first home game September 2 against Eastside Catholic.
