Stolen car found with items of stolen property; arrests made

Hayden Lake, ID – According to Kootenai County Sheriff Ben Wolfinger, a Kootenai County Deputy located an occupied stolen car Saturday night driving near the intersection of N. Lakeview Drive and E. Miles Avenue in Hayden Lake.

Wolfinger said the vehicle’s license plates had been removed and upon stopping the stolen vehicle, the deputy recognized the driver as the suspect in the vehicle theft. Additional deputies then arrived to assist.

The occupants in the stolen vehicle were identified as Tanner D. Flowerdew, 26, and Tesandra D. Graupman, 34.

Wolfinger said during a search of the car, numerous items of stolen property including checks and credit cards were located stemming from burglaries in Coeur d’Alene. Due to the large amount of suspected stolen items, the vehicle and all the property were seized for follow up investigations.

Flowerdew was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of a stolen financial transaction card and possession of paraphernalia. Graupman was arrested for possession of a stolen financial transaction card.

Kootenai County Sheriffs' said additional charges are expected once more victims are contacted.

Flowerdew has been booked into the Kootenai County Public Safety Building 16 prior times.

Graupman has been booked into the Kootenai County Public Safety Building 9 prior times.
