SPOKANE -- A local racing enthusiast had his prize-winning classic car stolen from his home early Monday morning.
Bud Merritt raced his rare 1972 Dodge Demon for more than a decade.
A surveillance camera attached to Merritt’s house captured the theft. The video showed two men rolling away the car from where it parked, sometime during the middle of the night.
The camera did not pick up the thieves’ faces, but Merritt hopes someone will recognize the men in the video or see his unique car driving down the street and call police.
