SPOKANE VALLEY-- The GPS on a stolen laptop pointed Spokane Valley Police to other stolen property.

A Spokane man registered his Mac book on iCloud, and that system helped detective’s track down the stolen laptop's location in Spokane Valley.

Spokane Valley Detective contacted Justin Trent who lives near where the GPS location.

Investigators found the laptop at the neighbor's house along with other stolen items. Detectives also found a stolen truck in Trent’s yard.

Officials say this is a prime example of what good can come out of registering high dollar electronic items.
