SPOKANE, Wash.-- A woman who had been stabbed in Spokane checked herself into Deaconess Medical Center early Tuesday.
Spokane Police officers said the woman, in her twenties, claimed to have been walking near Freeway Park before 7 a.m. with a man when another couple approached them. They said it led to an altercation and led to the woman being stabbed in the chest.
Police scanned the park for evidence but were unable to find any signs of a crime. No witnesses came forward either, according to authorities.
Doctor’s listed the woman in critical condition because the stabbing hit an artery.
Investigators said the woman is a member of Spokane’s transient population and known to police.
