WHITMAN COUNTY-- Whitman County authorities arrested two men in connection with a body found in Bonnie Lake last weekend.
Police used dental records to identify the victim as 23-year-old Marcus A. Schur of Rosalia. A fisherman spotted Schur’s body floating in the shallow waters of a creek near Belsby Road.
Schur died from a massive hemorrhage as a result of multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Whitman County coroner. Authorities are investigating the case as a homicide.
Deputies arrested 24-year-old Frank Lazcano of Pine City and 20-year-old Daniel Lazcano of Spokane Friday afternoon.
Police booked both suspects into the Whitman County Jail for 2nd Degree Murder. They are scheduled to appear in court Monday.
