SPOKANE, Wash. -- Three men accused of tampering with a Spokane murder trial have been taken into police custody.

Major Crimes detectives arrested Tvar L. Jackson, 33, Barry J. Gardner, 34, and Israel L. Jones, 34, charged them with witness tampering in the John Castro’s trial.

The Spokane Police Department says the three men are accused of communicating with witnesses who appeared Wednesday, the first day of testimony.

Castro and a group of friends allegedly shot and killed Jose Solis at a Spokane Quality Inn last year.
