SPOKANE county, Wash. -- After a brief standoff, the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man wanted in El Paso County, Texas for sexual assault.

Spokane County Deputies said they found Ronald Stanley, 62, in an RV in the Alderwood RV Park on North Newport Highway.  Deputies arrived at Stanley’s residence on August 12 and began negotiating with the suspect by phone and PA for about one hour.  Stanley eventually came out of the residence under his own power and was taken into custody without incident.

Detectives seized Stanley’s R.V., in which they found 11 firearms, over $10,000 in U.S. currency, a full body armor suit, several ounces of gold and hundreds of collector coins.

Since Stanley is not a convicted felon, the firearms were placed on property for safekeeping.  All the seized evidence was to be sent to El Paso County Sheriff's Office investigators for their investigation.

Stanley was sent to the Spokane County Jail awaiting extradition back to El Paso County.
