SPOKANE, Wash. -- A suspect who was arrested Thursday night in connection to a shooting in the parking lot of Hobby had his first court appearance on Friday.

The court called Terrance R. Jones, 26, a high risk danger and a threat to the community. Jones' bail was set at $250,000.

Jones has a history of failing to appear in court and lengthy list of run-ins with the law. He has plead guilty to several charges of driving with a suspended license, drug possession, theft and reckless driving.

Authorities arrested Jones who is suspected of being involved in a shooting in the parking lot of Hobby Lobby in the Spokane Valley on February 21.

Law enforcement pulled over a car around 8 p.m Thursday at the Broadway exit off westbound I-90. Jones was a passenger in the vehicle and was arrested on a felony warrant for 1st degree assault and booked into the Spokane County Jail.

The investigation is ongoing and police say more charges could be filed later.

Jones was taken into custody without incident. Several agencies were on the scene to aid in the arrest. Members of the Spokane Violent Crime Gang Enforcement Team were notified immediately and also responded to the scene.

Police say the shooting at the Hobby Lobby parking lot near Indiana and Evergreen started as an altercation. People in two cars were arguing near Sullivan and Broadway.

One car drove away from that scene but became disabled a short time later in the Hobby Lobby parking lot.  That is when the suspect vehicle drove by and shot at the victim’s car, according to authorities.

The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Authorities say that shooting was possibly gang related
