Police confirmed Monday that they planned to charge 31-year-old Bud Ray Brown with 1st Degree Murder for a December 2012 shooting.  Officers said Brown is accused of fatally shooting 28-year-old David "Brandon" Deponte in the head.

Deponte's body was found in an alley near Bridge and Canyon with several gunshot wounds in December of 2012. Since then, Spokane Police Major Crimes detectives worked to identify a suspect.
