SPOKANE, Wash. -- Police arrested a third person in Spokane accused of a kidnapping on Monday.  Officers arrested the third female suspect on Tuesday afternoon. The other two suspects were arrested on Monday according to police.

Authorities said the third suspect, Mindee Deligt, is accused of raping the 16-year-old victim.  The 33-year-old suspect was booked into jail for 1st Kidnapping and 1st Rape according to Detective Lydia Prichard.

Police booked Keila Chapman, 27, and Merriah Wernsdorfer, 30, on second degree kidnapping charges on Monday.

Major Crimes Detectives questioned Chapman and Wernsdorfer during an investigation into a kidnapping and sexual assault near Lincoln and Wellesley.

Authorities said the victim escaped from a home along the 4600 block of North Lincoln on Monday morning and contacted police. Officers arrived at the home shortly after 6:00 a.m. The victim told officers that she had been kidnapped and sexually assaulted according to police.

Detectives said the whole thing started when the victim tried to buy drugs with money given to her by Wernsdorfer and Chapman. The victim returned with no drugs and no money according to investigators.
Court documents said that is when the suspects put her in the back of a car and placed a dark piece of clothing over her head.

The suspects drove the victim to Wernsdorfer’s mother house on North Lincoln.  The victim had both of her wrists and legs duct taped to the chair according to court documents. The teenage girl told police that the suspects made her strip down. Detectives said they believe Deligt raped the teenager.

The victim went on to tell police that her attackers put a gun to her head and cocked it according to the police report. The victim told police that she eventually escaped through a small door and called 911 from a nearby gas station.

“I am shocked and amazed that this behavior can happen in a house with young children. This house is a known drug house in this community. These people need to be punished to the full extent of the law,” said one of the suspect’s family members.

Officers said the incident does not appear to be random. The alleged kidnapping and assault appears to be tried to drugs according to police.
