SPOKANE, Wash.-- A cab ride through North Spokane almost turned dangerous when one of the passengers threatened the driver with a gun.

The cab driver called police around midnight after it happened near the Northpointe Shopping Center.

The driver told police four men and a woman were in his cab when an argument began. The cab driver reportedly believed one of the men was close to hurting the woman, so he pulled out a stun gun to stop him. The man then allegedly pointed the gun at the cab driver and threatened to shoot him. All of the men fled the car when the driver, who has a concealed pistol license, pulled out his own gun to defend himself.

Spokane County deputies and troopers from the Washington State Patrol arrived on scene to assist Spokane officers with the search.

A trooper found one of the men near the area Shopko. The trooper found two guns in his back pocket. A K-9 officer was able to track down the man suspected of pulling the gun on the driver with the help of the trooper. Jahvoryn Kinard, 18, allegedly fought with officers as they arrested him.
The other two men were found by Wal-Mart.

Kinard was booked into the Spokane County Jail for first-degree assault. The other three men and the woman were released without any criminal charges.
