SPOKANE, -- Spokane police say a repeat offender is back behind bars for the 167th time thanks to a K9.

Police say they have been looking for weeks for 36-year-old Mark W. Bush when he ran off as officer tried to close in Wednesday night. The K9 officer and Leonidas were waiting and made the arrest.

Police say Bush has been booked into Spokane County Jail on 17 different possible charges in the past 11 months.

Bush has faced 167 charges since he was 21 and has felony convictions for drug possession and assault.

Many of Bushes charges are lower level so he has served the sentence and been released.
