SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -- Spokane Valley Police arrested two suspects Thursday night after spotting a stolen car.

A Spokane Valley Sheriff deputy pulled behind a Dodge Ram pickup on the 400 block of North University. The deputy ran the plates and discovered it was stolen. The deputy pulled the truck over and conducted a traffic stop with his K9 partner.

Authorities said when the car came to a stop the driver's side door flung open and the driver jumped out. The driver quickly stopped when the deputy told the suspect about the K9.

The driver, Jonathan Bailey, 36, was arrested and charged with felony possession of a stolen car and driving while license suspended.

The passenger, Ashley Lopez, 24, was also arrested and charged with felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
